Teaching at Packing Your Imagination
Just a heads-up that next month I'll be speaking at CANSCAIP's always-excellent Packing Your Imagination conference. I'll be trying to teach writers how to use details to make writing come alive -- as opposed to adding details to make readers go to sleep.
Even if you don't see me, consider this conference. If you're a Canadian author or illustrator interested in books for young people, this is really the must-go event of the year. I'm hoping to FINALLY meet some of my favorite writers, Susin Nielson and Theresa Totem, whose Unlikely Hero of Room 13B so so deserved its GG win last year.
