Rejections and Sales

A few updates since the last report on litbiz goings on.

Bad news: Acorn rejected the haiku I sent them, with a note telling me I use too much metaphor. And one more Writers' Reserve Grant has been rejected, making me 0 for 7 this year, with only one answer yet to come in.

Good news: looks like Descant will take "Graft" after all. And fifth time's a charm for the origin of language poems. Arc wants three of them. They write: "The poems have a masterful voice, and are very finely honed." Well, gosh.

And did I mention I sold reprint rights to "Writing About Sex" to the how-to newsletter Sex Writer? It came with a subscription and everything.
